Extra Credit
On October 26, 2001, President George W. Bush signed the Provide Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act (Patriot Act). One provision included the use of electronic surveillance - government searches of the Internet, including e-mail sent from home computers. Critics charged that electronic surveillance violated the rights of Americans. Supporters claimed that it protected them from harm. Do you agree with the critics or the supporters and why?

I agree with the critics because it is an invasion of privacy to have survalliance on our home computers also whatever we send between home an friends should be in our juristiction so i agree with the critics opinon
I agree with the Critics. Our first Amendment rights are being violated by the patriot act. Everyone has a right to privacy no matter what the circumstances. AS FOR ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE FAMILIES AND PEOPLE SEND IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHETHER IT BE ABOUT WORK OR HOME THEY SEND INFORMATION AND THERE INFORMATION THEY INTEND FOR IT TO STAY PRIVATE.
I don't agree with it at all. A person has the right to his or her privacy, and besides if the government spied on someone who wasn't doing anything wrong what would we be able to do about it ???
i also agree with critics because thats just exaggerating on trying to look into our privacy even though some stuff we do is not good.
I do not agree with the Patriot act that Bush has established.. The act is violating our privacy or our 4th amendment. The amendment is suppost to protect Americans against unreasonable searches and seizures. This amendment was made so that we can have privacy. Bush is becoming a tyranny by making this act. The 3 branches were also made to prevent tyranny from spreading and yet they are not doing anything to stop Bush from invading or privacy.
I agree with the crirics our first amendment right everyone has right to privacy no matter what circumstances electronic such as E mall and the TV NEWS
I agree with the critics because they violated our privacy. The stuff that we send might be personal and nobody else should know about it.But in one way the supporters have a good point.
